The Best (and not) Feelings In The World

Best

1. Right before you open a new pack of football cards
2. The moment you realize it's a snow day
3. Getting a test back when you aced it but didn't think you would
4. Getting something bad over with

 Worst

1. Dropping an ice cream cone
2. Loseing something important
3. When someone is mad at you
4. When you have nothing to do

Last Day

You have been diagnosed with a horrible new disease. You have been told by a doctor who has said that you have exactly 24 hours to live. You are sure there will be no exceptions and there is not treatment. There are no symptoms, so you can act normally until you die. What will you do?

First things first, I will not be sleeping, at all.

For my first hour, I would probably be making sure all my friends and family will be there for my day.

I will eat whatever I want whenever I want. I will not be worried about eating unhealthy foods or too much food.

Hopefully my last day is a Sunday during football season, because I would definitely like to go to a Broncos game.

Play lots of sports.

Say goodbye!

Characters

I got a really cool prompt from this website so I decided to do it. The prompt is: If you could be a  book character, which one would you be? I am going to stay away from life biographies and non-fiction books to keep it interesting.

Jeffrey (Maniac) Magee, from Maniac Magee by Jerry Spinelli

Jeffrey is a tweenage boy who does not have a care in the world. He sleeps in a shed full of baseball equipment. He does whatever he wants throughout the day and night, eating when or what he wants, sleeping when he wants. He creates his own schedule. He is also good a star at every sport and is everybody's friend.

Quinninium

Quinninium is a new periodic table element that I created. Here is what it is and does:

Features: It is very bouncy. It can bounce to 90% of it's former height. It is very good at keeping things hot.

Appearance: It is a neon orange, like a construction vest. You can see it from very far away. It is not dense. There are  caverns and holes inside it. It is very squishy.

Uses: Sports balls, trampolines, insulation, thermos's. It is not radioactive or dangerous to humans or animals.

Where it's discovered: There is a lot of it in the arctic circle and other very cold places.

History: We think it was used by ice age animals long ago for burrows because it retained heat so well and it already had natural holes.

The Horrible Thing That Wasn't That Bad

One time, maybe 5 years ago, my family went on a trip to Hawaii. We were there for winter break. We were staying on the 5th floor. I was going back up to our room with my 2 older sisters. I was riding piggyback on my sister Maya, who was about 16 at that time. She had her own phone, an old one that flipped out. Definitely not a touch screen iphone. Because of the great weather, the hallways between the elevator and the rooms were open air. While I was trying to get down off my sisters back, I accidentally kicked her phone. It went sprawling and slipped under the crack between the railing and the floor. It teetered, teetered, and eventually fell. It dropped 5 floors. We all rushed down to recover the phone, expecting it to be shattered. When we finally found it, there was no damage. It had fallen into a group of flowers, cushioning its fall. Thank goodness!

Wiffle Ball

I smacked the ball with my plastic yellow bat. The whistling ball sailed over second base, which was a tree. I started running as fast as I could. My hand grazed the rough bark of first base, another tree. I slapped second base and sprang towards third. I touched third, a rock this time, with my foot and went for home. My friend reached out to tag me with the ball, but I slide and touched home (a fence post) with my foot. I was safe!

Wiffle Ball was my most popular activity in the summer when I was younger.

Back In Time

If I could go back in time, where and when would I go? You can go back to a time, but you go back as a ghost, so you cannot change anything.

Has any body ever heard of the mystery about Babe Ruth, calling his shot? That's where I would go back to. If you haven't heard of it, this is what happened: The famous baseball player Babe Ruth was up to bat. Before play started, the mystery is that Babe Ruth pointed his finger towards the centerfield stands. He was calling his shot. Babe Ruth crushed the ball on the next pitch, and the ball went straight to where he pointed. It was a home run, but more amazingly, he had called his shot.

I think it would be really interesting to see what actually transpired there and if he actually called his shot.

Desert Island Meals

I am stranded on a desert island. I get to have one meal that I would eat three times a day for the rest of my life. The meal has 4 items in it: Main dish, side dish, drink and dessert.

1. Main Dish: Roast beef and provolone sandwich on white bread
This would be from my favorite restaurant, Snarfs. Snarfs makes really good sandwiches. This choice was pretty easy.

2. Side Dish: Sliced Mango
Mango is my favorite fruit.

3. Drink: Dr. Pepper
Ice cold, of course. I don't want to sound like a snob, but I would drink it out of a cup, not the bottle or can.

4. Dessert: Coffee ice cream milkshake
I love coffee ice cream. I think it tastes better in liquid form.

Distant Life

If there was developed alien life somewhere far away on another planet, what would it be like? It could be a "typical" alien, with lots of eyes, legs and unnatural green skin. It could also be fantastical creatures, like dragons and serpents and super-sized animals. These are both interesting ideas, but what if the aliens are exactly like us? They are humans, oblivious to the other planet full of the same kind. They would probably be searching for alien life right now. Imagine meeting them. It would be like a reunion with a long lost cousin!

What would happen if I was president?

Obviously, I am not a genius about money or politics. I do not have a doctors degree in anything and I have not gone to law school, but here is what I would do if I was president.

The first thing I would do is raise the minimum wage to $12. I think this is important because everybody deserves a good job, and with a minimum wage as low as it is now people cannot support themselves and their families.

Another thing I would do is change our prison system. Solitary confinement is cruel and unfair. I think a better way to reform prisoners is give them  more phycological help. Prisoners would be put in a better environment to help influence them to be better people.
